- The college degree will set you up for success as the chapters in anatomy & physiology and biomechanics will be a review. This certification curriculum builds on that foundational knowledge and provides Prep Coaches and athletes with competition-specific content not taught in a university curriculum.
- Does the program have any prerequisites?
- The NASM-PBC program is an advanced specialization intended for Prep Coaches, bodybuilding and physique competitors, and fitness enthusiasts. There are no official prerequisites, but it’s recommended to have a fitness credential, such as being a Certified Personal Trainer, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- How many CEUs is the PBC program worth?
- The NASM-PBC credential is approved for 1.9 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
- How long will I have to take the PBC final exam?
- You will have 1 year from the day of registration to take your final exam.
- How does the PBC final exam work?
- The Physique and Bodybuilding Coach program exam is taken online inside your student portal. You’ll have 365 days from the date of purchase, to study and complete the exam. This exam features:

- 90 minutes to complete
