FITNESS FUTURE “I started gymnastics when I was four years old and starting competing by the time I was eight. In high school I started lifting and doing cardio after practice to be in the best shape I could. I went to college on a full scholarship for gymnastics, where we lifted three times a week with a strength and conditioning coach and I really enjoyed it. After my sophomore season, I stopped doing gymnastics due to injury an injury. Fitness fit perfectly into my life, allowing me to put my dedication and hard work towards something new.”
ATHETIC ROOTS “Saying I come from an athletic family is the understatement of the century. Health and fitness have always been at the forefront of my family’s life. My Dad is the national and world champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash for Master’s track and field. My mom was also a successful gymnast. After having kids she took up fitness, which is where I was first exposed to the NPC. My siblings and I didn’t fall far from the tree. My brother went to college on a Division I lacrosse scholarship and my younger sister will be attending Stanford on a lacrosse scholarship next fall. An active, fit lifestyle is truly the only one I’ve been exposed to my whole life and everything was always done with hard work and dedication.”
MOTHERLY LOVE ”I grew up around the fitness industry because of my mother, so I’d have to say she inspired me to find a new way to challenge my body and lifestyle once I was done with gymnastics.”
ENTERTAINER “This sport is so limitless. From the different workouts and diets, you can truly make it to best fit your lifestyle. It can fulfill the athletic void anyone has by each athlete having the ability to personalize it for themselves. I also love performing and entertaining. At the end of a fitness routine, feeling like i’ve truly entertained the audience makes me feel like they’ve truly appreciated all the hard work and dedication i’ve put in.”
