SOFT(BALL) START “I speny my life playing softball. I went to college at the University of Louisania Monroe and didn’t make the team – my dream was crushed. So I wanted something else to keep me motivated. That’s when I started hitting thegym a little harder.”

TOO HARD TO HANDLE “I started competing in bikini. I had a professor in college that did figure shows, but I just wasn’t big enough at first. My first show, I had three weeks to prep for it, so I just kind of stuck with it for a while. But after the Nationals, I came in too hard and realized that just wasn’t where I wanted to be.”

SCARY STUFF “I was scared to death before my first physique contest. Six weeks out from the show I almost decided to to figure because I was so afraid of the posing. But the more I practiced, the more I started getting into it. Now I love it.”

TIRED OF WAITING “When I went in to the USAs, I told [trainer] Kim Oddo I didn’t want to wait for that pro card. I had it in my head, I was very strict on myself. I didn’t cheat, I never missed a workout, never missed a cardio session. I was definitely nervous, but I knew if I was going to get beat somebody was going to have to bring in an awesome package.”
