Please share something of your background and how it relates to your current interest in fitness and modeling. I was a cheerleader in college and after having my first child, I knew I wanted to get back to that shape again. I started working out at Goldā€™s Gym in Destin, Fl. One of their trainers told me about NPC so I went home and stayed up all night looking at the girls. This was in 2010 and the bikini division had just started. I remember looking at Jessica Anderson and Jennifer Andrewā€™s photos and thinking, ā€œI want to look like thatā€. I have grown up competing in different sports so this was a natural transition for me.

Share with us a bit about your contest history and most memorable show experience. I have competed in seven shows but had time off during my second pregnancy and recovery from my second c section. My greatest accomplishments are having my two beautiful boys, winning college cheerleading nationals twice, placing top 10 at NPC nationals last year, and recently winning the overall title at the NPC Southern USA.

What motivates and/or inspires you to workout, diet and compete in fitness? Just the thought of challenging myself and pushing myself keeps me motivated. If I am having a tough week, I purchase a fitness magazine and it gets me back in the groove. Also, I love cooking and making healthy meals taste great!

What would be your dream career if in the fitness industry? I am a registered nurse so helping people is in my nature. If I could have a job in the fitness industry, I would love to go house to house, raid peopleā€™s pantries and go grocery shopping with them. I would help them step by step make small changes to make their families healthier.
