BEAUTY SCHOOLING “I was in beauty pageants from the time I was born until high school basically. It’s pretty much what got me started. It helped a lot with stage presence and just having the confidence to be on stage in front of a crowd of people. I don’t have stage fright at all and I know a lot of competitors do. Obviously the posing is different, but you still have to have that presence about you.”
TRAINING WITH THE BLADE “I’ve been training with Dexter Jackson and Team Blade since 2011. Training with him, he doesn’t let you make any excuses. That’s how he’s been so successful in his career, with his training and his mindset.”
NO COMPLAINTS “I love to see people who push themselves and can do it with no complaints. I kind of shy myself away from people who complain about things all the time. If you’re the one doing it, why are you complaining about the diet and the training? If you are, then you shouldn’t be doing this. Nobody likes dieting the way we do, but we do it because we love the end result.”
FOOTBALL FANATIC “I love football. I’m one of those chicks who won’t answer text messages on Monday night, Thursday night or Sunday afternoon. It’s fun – almost like a holiday – to get together with your girlfriends and almost do what the guys do. I’ve always been competitive so I like the contact. I like actually sitting there and screaming for the team.”
THE WORLDWIDE LEADER “I love competing and would love to go pro but I’m also a college student getting ready to graduate with a communications degree. I just submitted my resume to ESPN in Orlando. I would love to take Erin Andrews’ job, but that might be a while! I would like to do sports broadcasting on air or sideline reporting.”
