Jamie DeBernard won the first contest of her career on Saturday night at the IFBB California State Pro Figure Championships in Culver City, California.
DeBernard, who earned her pro card less than a year ago at the NPC USAs, had placed in the top five of six of her first seven professional contests – the lone exception being the 2011 Olympia. She started the 2012 season with a 4th (Governor’s Cup), a 3rd (Pittsburgh Pro) and a 2nd (Optimum Classic) in her first three shows before finally cashing at the Cal.
Allison Frahn placed second, her second top-three finish this year, while Tamara Montoya rounded out the top three.
