On Monday, June 3, 2013, NPC President Jim Manion along with NPC News Official Photographer J.M. Manion and his son Tyler Manion drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Worthington, OH for a meeting with Arnold Sports Festival co-promoter Jim Lorimer and his son Bob Lorimer plus Arnold Sports Festival Marketing and Communications Director Brent LaLonde and trainer Mike Davies. It was the first time Jim Manion had ever been to the Classic Productions offices and the headquarters of Metro Fitness. The meetings touched upon the various aspects of the fitness industry, the NPC and IFBB Professional League, plus a short history of all the competitions Jim Lorimer and Arnold Schwarzenegger have co-promoted since 1976 and Jim’s promotions prior to partnering with Arnold. From the offices they all went to lunch which was the true definition of a ‘Power Lunch’. They returned to the Classic Productions offices to wrap things up before the Manion crew drove back to Pittsburgh.
