Center Stage: NPC Bikini Athlete Leslie Barnett

My name is Leslie Barnett and I am a NPC Bikini Competitor. I started competing in the NPC in 2011. I was overweight and unhappy with my appearance and self esteem. So I decided to do something about it and enter a bikini competition to get into the best shape of my life. I lost 30 pounds to compete in my first NPC show and placed 4th. I was hooked from that moment on. What started out as on show to just get into shape, turned into a passion and a lifestyle. What I love about competing is the fact that you can push yourself way beyond anything you ever thought was possible and you watch yourself change not only physically but mentally as well.

In 2013 I competed at Jr Nationals where I placed 11th and Team Universe, where I placed 7th. I am working on building my physique and bringing the best package yet to the 2014 National stage.
