Ask a Pro: Team ‘Worth It’

Team ‘Worth It’ Heading To The 2013 IFBB North American Championships

As summer comes to a close, most athletes nationwide are looking forward to some time off after a very competitive 2013 season.  At the ‘Team Worth It’ camp in Southern California, Randall Pich, Alejandra Carrera, and Christoper Montgomery (pictured left to right), are still working hard in hopes of earning their Pro Cards in Pittsburgh this weekend, Aug 30-31st.

About the Athletes:

Alejandra Carrera started her competitive career in 2012 in the Venice Beach Muscle Beach Competitions.  She didn’t place at the first show but loved competing and began taking steps to properly educate herself on training and diet.  In her first NPC competition, she placed 6th (Border States – San Diego).  Two months later at the Excalibur in Culver City, she placed 16th.  She received valuable feedback from the head judge and worked all winter to improve her weakest areas (glutes and hamstirngs).  On April 13th, 2013, Alejandra placed 1st in class and 4th Overall at the Grand Prix.  Three weeks later she competed in San Diego and earned 3rd in her class at the Spartan Show.  For the past 4 weeks, she’s been training with Jenny Worth and is confident that she’ll bring an improved package to the North American Championships.

Christopher Montgomery was an accomplished wrestler at the high school level and is currently a trainer at World Gym in Southern California.  He has placed very well during the 2013 season and has recently joined Team ‘Worth It’ to refine his physique for the North American Championships.  Christopher’s competitive history includes: Venice Beach 4th of July – 2nd Place Physique Tall Class, NPC Muscle Contest Border States – 2nd Place, Class D, Men’s Physique, NPC Muscle Contest Excalibur – 2nd Place, Class D Men’s Physique, NPC Muscle Contest Spartan – 2nd Place, Class D, Men’s Physique, NPC USA’s National – 6th Place Class D, Men’s Physique.

Randall Pitch was awarded 3rd place at the 2013 USA’s and is more determined than ever!  In addition to being a competitor, Randall is also a personal trainer and the owner of LIVE FIT Apparel.  He dedicates his life to and strives to be an inspiration to the team, clients, colleagues, and fitness industry as a whole.  Placing 1 off from the Pro Card has inspired Randall to train nonstop since his most recent accomplishment!  Randall has been part of ‘Team Worth It’ since the beginning of his competition career and confident that Coach Jenny Worth is ‘guiding him in the right direction’ and is an important part of ‘making his dream of becoming a Pro come true.’

Team ‘Worth It’ is excited to travel cross-country to compete against some of the finest athletes in the nation!  Stay tuned for our athletes’ individual competition experiences and placings!!
