Bigger, bolder and better than ever, the 2012 IFBB Sheru Classic is back for its second year and with over $200,000 in prize money, the competition is sure to be red-hot. Asia’s first and largest bodybuilding and fitness event takes place this weekend, October 5-6 at India’s biggest indoor venue, the Indhira Ghandi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. And this year, men’s open bodybuilding and figure will be joined by 212-division and bikini action.
With Joe Weider’s IFBB Olympia having concluded last week, expect to see most of the world’s greatest athletes battling onstage once more, including 2012 and two-time Mr. Olympia and defending Sheru Classic champion Phil Heath, two-time Arnold Classic champ and 2012 Olympia runner-up Kai Greene, Toney Freeman, 2008 Olympia Showdown winner and 2012 212 Showdown runner-up David Henry, Jose Raymond, 2012 and two-time Figure Olympia winner Erin Stern, two-time Figure Olympia winner and defending Sheru Classic Figure champion Nicole Wilkins, Candice Keene; Heather Dees, 2011 Bikini Olympia winner Nicole Nagrani, India Paulino and many more! Plus, four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler will be in attendance.
Fans will also be treated to the Sheru Classic Health and Fitness Expo, which features a Male Model Search and powerlifting competitions courtesy of the Inzer Group and the Indian Powerlifting Association. Held at the NSIC Exhibition Complex in Okhla, New Delhi, this one-of-a-kind expo will have something for everyone.
With audience attendance potentially reaching 15,000, contest promoter and event organizer Sheru Aangrish expects this action-packed weekend to be the biggest live event in bodybuilding history!
