MR. OLYMPIA
Heath Topples Cutler, Wins First Sandow

Phil Heath earned his first Mr. Olympia title in convincing fashion, beating out four-time Olympia winner – and good friend – Jay Cutler. Heath lost a close decision to Cutler in 2010, but was much improved from his runner-up finish a year ago. With added muscle and his trademark full, round muscle bellies and razor-sharp conditioning, Heath left little doubt that he was the man to beat after the Friday night prejudging.

Cutler, who suffered a torn right biceps weeks before the competition, was off of his best form. Even without the injury Cutler, significantly off of his career-best form of 2009, would have been hard-pressed to prevent Heath from winning his first Sandow.

Kai Greene, much improved from his disappointing outing at the 2010 Olympia, placed third and gave Cutler a run for his money for the runner-up spot. Victor Martinez (4th), Dennis Wolf (5th) and Dexter Jackson (6th) rounded out the top six.

FIGURE OLYMPIA
Wilkins Reclaims The Crown

Nicole Wilkins became the first competitor to reclaim the Figure Olympia title after losing it, beating out defending champion Erin Stern. Wilkins, the 2009 Olympia winner, took the stage in the best shape of her career – one that includes two Figure International titles. That, combined with her superior shape, proved to be too much for Stern to overcome.

FITNESS OLYMPIA
Garcia Stands Alone

Adela Garcia made history by winning her record-setting fifth Fitness Olympia title. In the process, Garcia broke a tie with Susie Curry (2001-2004) to stand alone in the record books. Garcia’s stiffest competition came from runner-up Tanji Johnson, who finished as the runner-up to Garcia for the third straight year.

BIKINI OLYMPIA
New Champ Nagrani

Youth was served at the Bikini Olympia, as nineteen-year-old Nicole Nagrani became the youngest Olympia winner in history by beating out a loaded lineup. Nagrani, a college sophomore, won the first-ever Bikini International earlier in the year and now holds the sport’s two biggest titles. Nathalia Melo finished as the runner up for the second straight year.

2010 Bikini Olympia winner Sonia Gonzales fell to fifth at this year’s contest.

202 SHOWDOWN
English Narrowly Retains Title

Kevin English has had some close calls in his 202 Showdown run, but none were closer than this year’s win over Flex Lewis. English, the two-time defending champion, was behind on the scorecards after the morning’s prejudging, but managed to pull it together by the finals to squeak past Lewis and win his third straight 202 Showdown title.
