The Junior Nationals headlined last weekend in the NPC, but there were other regional events taking place across the country. Check out the highlights from one of those events – the Mid Florida Classic in Orlando – below!
MID FLORIDA CLASSIC: ORLANDO, FL
Deke Warner hosted the NPC Mid Florida Classic, an event that saw nearly 100 competitors on a busy weekend around the country.
– The Women’s Physique Overall title went to short class winner Dani Reardin, who has also competed in the state earlier in the season.
– The Bikini Overall and Short Class went to Julia Souza
– The Men’s Physique Tall & overall title went to Brad Brooke – who won previously in Florida and came out ahead this week of the Florida Central District Championships Overall winner from two weeks ago.
– The Figure Overall title went to Short Class winner Terri Kubassek. Coming off an overall win two weeks ago, Kubassek now has four overall wins in the past six months – all while raising four small children.
– Middleweight Joe DeWandel took his class and the overall, which is quite remarkable considering the show was stacked with good competitors from the Lightweights up to the Heavies.
– The Fitness overall went to the lone competitor in the division Alanna Colon. She has competed previously in the state this year and has strong strength and gymnastics skills.
