FLEX Pro Fitness: Garcia Wins!

She’s re-written the record books throughout her career, so it came as no surprise that Adela Garcia did so once again at the inaugural FLEX Pro Fitness Championships.

Garcia once again took on an A-list lineup that included three-time Fitness Olympia runner-up Tanji Johnson. The result was no different than any of her previous five outings. Garcia, entering her 12th year in the professional ranks, has won a record-setting five Fitness Olympia and four Fitness International titles. She will look add a fifth Fitness International to her resume in Columbus, Ohio in two weeks.

Johnson, meanwhile, couldn’t continue her streak of recent runner-up finishes. Instead, Oksana Grishina who came in second and, in the process, established herself as a top-five threat at the Fitness International. The runner-up finish was the highest of Grishina’s four-year pro career.

Myriam Capes placed third while Johnson came in fourth. Bethany Cisternino (5th) rounded out the top five.
