Candice Lewis, India Paulino and Natalie Planes all won their respective divisions at the 2012 IFBB Pro World Figure, Bikini and Fitness Championships on Saturday in Miami, Florida.
In Figure, Lewis – who turned pro just one year ago – etched her name in the history books with her record-tying fifth win of the season. She joins Nicole Wilkins and Erin Stern as the only competitors with five wins in a calendar year. Stern also won five contests this season, while Wilkins’ five victories came a year ago.
In Bikini, India Paulino successfully defended the title she won a year ago. It was Paulino’s third victory of the season and fifth of her career. Rookie Lacey DeLuca placed second, her third runner-up finish of the year, while Yarelis Gonzales placed third.
Rookie Natalie Planes made her pro debut one to remember by winning the Fitness division. Planes turned pro at the Fitness Nationals this past July. Whitney Jones (2nd) and Ryall Graber-Vasani (3rd) rounded out the top three.
